At least paying to sit through the Oregon LSU match-up produced some fireworks...

Both defenses are fantastic no doubt...but it was a bit like watching a soccer game

I remember when the Pac 10 use to play football just like that game. It was in the early 90's with D's such as UWs, Desert Swarm and Gang Green, and then the Pac 10's offenses evolved.

That's the thing, though... PAC offenses evolved, while SEC O's stagnated.

Of course….blocked kick for a 10-20 yard return and a big time interception on the 1 by Reed to keep Bama from scoring was one of the best moments this year…you don’t need 40 – 50 points thrown on the board for a good time.Biggus Duckus wrote:Bud Lee, do you actually find this game enjoyable? This is the most boring crap I've ever seen in my life, OT or no OT.
Not saying it was pretty…we couldn’t get much of anything going offensively…but that really wasn’t expected against one of top two defenses in the nation. Was it?
People down here would say your defenses digressed as the PAC became an offense orientated league….That's the thing, though... PAC offenses evolved, while SEC O's stagnated.

Re: LSU vs BAMA
I think Oregon's D is pretty good... gave up just 22 points to Auburn, and the points given to LSU were somewhat deceiving considering the uncharacteristically high number of turnovers we had (which wouldn't happen now, as opposed to the first game of the season).
It is kind of funny though that with all that talent on LSU and Alabama, not one team could manage to score a TD. I don't care how good both defenses are, that just seems like it shouldn't happen.

I would say we have 9 guys back next year on D, bring your asses out to Eugene and find out if our D is that bad. It's amazing to me that I go over to the LSU site for the first time in months, and now the story is LSU called the dogs off. I guess I watched a totally different game then LSU fans watched. LSU fans clearly give UO 0 respect, would love another shot at them.

I didn’t say your “D” was bad…I don’t think they are. I would say that they are among the best in the PAC. I’m just saying that y’all are an “O” league and your “Ds” aren’t ones that I would call “the best” in the nations….however I would say that y’all have two of the best offenses in the nation.
When two evenly matched teams meet in the PAC the score ends close like it does in the SEC…but each team seems to score in the 30s-40s….when two evenly teams in the SEC meet the score is normally in the 10s-20s.
I don’t know maybe it is just me.
Most people I know have respect for your squad….but ALL of them took offence to the “they got lucky” with the fumbles talk. Most are wanting a rematch with y’all (including me) hopefully you will beat Stanford, and OSU will lose to OU and we will all get what we want.
It is because each team has their best athletes on the “D”….and both offenses aren’t “great”…they are good and capitalize in the past off the field position their “Ds” and special teams placed them in. Though obviously Bama should start recruiting a 5 star kicker to replace the two numb foots they got.

None that I visit...now if they are talking about the mid way through the 4th quater when LSU went into their prevent "D"...maybe.It's amazing to me that I go over to the LSU site for the first time in months, and now the story is LSU called the dogs off
I would disagree…of course I’m still posting on your site and it is November…so I guess I’m not the average Tiger.LSU fans clearly give UO 0 respect

Sorry wasn't pointed at you directly Bud, was pointed at your scout board in general. Seems like a lot of disrespect going on over their directed at UO, and it fired me up.

I would LOVE that for sure. Oregon vs LSU in New Orleans for NCG But in these next 3 weeks anything can HAPPEN anything, LSU could lose, bama, Oklahoma, Oklahoma state, Boise State, anything can happen in college football in the final three weeks because everyone is playing 110%.
buckmarkduck don't listen to those Clowns down there!!! I know what you mean. At least Bud is way Chill and keeps it 100 and still is rooting for Oregon and on here giving us credit for what we been doing. Bud is Oregon your second team now!!!!!

If you are talking about Tiggerdroppings…that board is crap like Oregonlive. I don’t even go to that site anymore…it’s terrible, bunch of internet tuff guys talking out the side of their necks.buckmarkduck wrote:Sorry wasn't pointed at you directly Bud, was pointed at your scout board in general. In any event…no worries…I didn't take it as a knock against me. I get fired up too when I feel people are disrespecting my team. Part of being a fan.

Who do LSU fans most want to play in the title game as far as the most attractive matchup and who do they think they have the best chance of winning against
