Well, he just hired a prominent criminal defense lawyer... I think it's pretty unlikely that Paterno or anyone high up in that athletic department didn't have a role in the cover up.
I think anytime there's a possibility of some sort of lawsuit, it's probably smart to get a lawyer to cover your bases.

Yea, but Paterno got the same guy who defended GWB during his Iran/Contra scandal. Or maybe's that good, getting a guy with experience in scandals...
While I jest, the reality is that we have no idea what could be revealed with this but I think most expect more to be uncovered as victims come forward.
