I’ll be very curious to see how today goes, it does sound like Oregon missed on their top targets to finish the class. Sounds like Jahkeem Stewart is going to LSU or USC, Pickett is beteeen LSU and Miami, and Offord is sticking with Ohio State. Hope I’m wrong but this could end up being the biggest national signing day letdown under Lanning so far especially if Dallas Wilson flips to Florida or Miami.
One man's highest average recruit ranking in the country is another man's doom and gloom.

Ironic regarding Oregon's challenge to land tight ends this year - the state of Oregon produced 5 tight ends who have signed at former Pac-12 schools and 1 more at BYU.
(No, I don't think any of them are 'Oregon' good, but it's still quite the interesting stat).

Just thinking this has been a pretty dang ideal day so far. Maybe the only slight bummer so far is missing out on Cure, but we're adding Ploog and possibly Olesh, and have Harrison next year (and maybe Brock Harris soon too). So meh.
-Kept Finney/Wilson (I don't think we realize how exceptional this was by our coaching staff)
-Pulled Offord from Ohio State (Most thought Auburn)
-Somehow landed JKS (I was pretty convinced he would go to Cal)
Adding Olesh would be a cherry on top of it all!
Curious that most of Alabama's in state talent is going to Auburn with very little going to Alabama.
Oregon landed the #1 rated player in Alabama! Whodathunkit...
Yeah that is surprising. Also #1 player from Maryland as well. We love Maryland lately.

The top athlete in the class might be* Tobi Haastrup, and sounds like the Ducks have at least a puncher's chance.
Oregon got 'em. Put him on that Jordan Burch, Devon Jackson 'freaks' list.

Offord & Sagapolutele have both signed now.
There are still a few guys that haven't signed yet, including Trey McNutt, last time I looked.

Naone going to UW is probably an ideal fit for both the poodles and Naone. He can get the time to develop and have a better chance at playing time.
Cody Siegner from Crane is the guy I would have liked to see us go after but, like Naone, he's going to get a lot of quality attention in Corvallis.
We're at the point where if you're not ready to compete after a RS year, you probably aren't ready for the Ducks and each of them needs time.

I CAN'T WAIT for Jerry Allen to have to call a Jaron Sagapolutele touchdown pass to Roger Salaepaga!

Oregon's class up to #4 in the country. Somehow behind Alabama, despite higher average ranking and same number of recruits.
Other notable classes: Texas #1 (24 signed), Georgia #2 (27 signed), Ohio State #5, Michigan #7, USC #13, Miami #14 (highest ACC), Penn St #18, washington #22 (30 signed), Indiana #43, Michigan State #59 and Oregon State #65 (c'mon, Jonathan Smith, what are you doing), and Memphis #61 (highest G5).

If the beavers are really at 65 thats a major win for them because they lost so much last year.

Didn't he leave for Michigan State last year?

Yes. He took a job with a lot more money, more resources, better media coverage, etc. and has his program recruiting 6 spots ahead of his old school despite all the challenges the latter faces.

Ok, so who's left that we're expecting or hoping for?

Andrew Olesh. Tight end from Pennsylvania currently committed to University of Michigan. Signs on Friday.
