I'm getting a little tired of the hype machine(s) around here. The, 'I've heard good things' ... to ... 'don't worry guys, they are just saying that' ... to ... 'It's a package deal' ... to ... 'my gut says this but my mind says that'.

It's gotten out of hand. I can only equate it to crying wolf. I've stopped getting excited for several of the 'good sourced' people around here because if this was baseball, they would be batting well below .200

I understand recruiting and teenagers does not mean easy answers, but the amount of impact we give to a few peoples statements has just as good of odds as flipping a coin.

I've seen threads & posts erased, all of which at one point had 'something to speak of' / rumor wise. Moseley eluded to it on his blog yesterday. It's not worth the time, effort, or energy to get your hopes up -- regardless of what certain individuals say.

It can really detract from real meaningful information when half of the posts are asking four people what they have 'heard', and then the rest of those people 'responding'.

The greatest value this forum will have is if steps are taken to organize information that is reputable. Otherwise it's just a wild goose chase and we're all along for the ride.

There are a few unwritten rules on this message board that I recently became aware of:

1. You better be optimistic, or else...
2. Don't complain about anything
3. Don't criticize the recruiting effort, or question the coaching staff
4. Never say "I told you so" about missing out on a recruit
5. Don't start a topic/thread that breaks the first 4 rules, or else you will get 60 replies about what a moron you are and how you shouldn't post here anymore.

Don't read the board then ... this is not a recruiting website like Rivals or Scout, this is a message board where people come to discuss a certain topic and speak about their opinions and feelings on the topics being discussed. If you don't like that, then just don't read the board, or at least don't read the recruiting section of the board

Rivals has a forum from the admins with a staff person on site. 10 minutes ago he reported 5 tv cameras and writers. NO family present yet. Scout has it on clemson premium and admins can get that. Stand by fellas.
