I don't see where Moseley is reporting that Masoli is done... Is that in a tweet or something?ducklydoright wrote:Masoli is done according to Moseley and it's because he lied to CK about his involvement in the theft. As for LMJ he is changing his plea to guilty, which makes me think that the prosecutor and LMJ's attorney worked out some kind of plea agreement. The big question is going to be whether or not CK gets rid of LMJ. I personally believe that CK has really backed himself into a corner because of the way he handled the Alonzo, Embry, and Holland situations, but with that being said I wouldn't be surprised to see LMJ get suspended for 4 games or so.

I see. He's speculating that he's gone. Not reporting that he is.

Re: Masoli charged
The thing I can't get out of my mind was the story back mid-season of Masoli going to the Serbu center and talking to the kids in there and telling them crime doesn't pay and all that stuff. 4 months later.....

I love how people are already moving on like the trial has already taken place and the jury came back with a verdict. Sad people, very sad. We have a justice system for a reason. Let it run its course and if he is guilty then we will talk about who we think should be the fill in QB.
Very disrespectful to assume guilt based on a charge that has yet to be proven. Masoli has an attorney and I have a gut feeling that this will go away because you still have to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Putting doubt on a drunken frat boys story is quite easy to do in a courtroom situation as has been demonstrated on this forum over and over and over again.

Wanna bet? If he lied to Chip, I think Masoli is gone regardless of the charges.

Re: Masoli charged
Im not sure we can assume he lied to Chip.
I imagine Masoli saying something like "I didn't steal anything from the frat house ..." The charges would indicate this is true.
If he said, "I never set foot in the frat house ...", the charges would indicate that this would be a lie.
Who knows what he told CK

^^^^ This is correct... The post right before by wisefox was good too. ^^^^^
I think its complete bullshit how quickly people react, and how disposable the players are treated.
Why the Fk would these guys want to steal guitars and laptops???? Especially after just coming off a huge season & the rose bowl... Good luck proving them guilty... its a waste of time and brings waaaaayyyy too much negativity to our beloved program.
This thing should be locked until case is settled...

Did I say anyone did? People did give me a lot of s*** for dragging a kid's name through the mud, however. But I don't have any sour grapes. I'm not gonna post things I hear anymore, but that's not out of hurt feelings. I was just saying, I told you guys this weeks ago. It shouldn't come as that big of a shock, though I didn't expect anyone to have 100% faith in me.wheaton4prez wrote:Who said that you were?Tray Dub wrote:Like I said weeks ago. I wasn't lying.

So much for the video evidence that proved he wasn't even there. This is a strange ordeal.

Re: Masoli charged
Not really surprising, since I have a few friends in SAE. They couldn't give me specifics, but they did say that something was going to come of it and it wasn't going to go away. All of the people who attacked the "frat douches" should think before making statements based on emotion, rather than critical reasoning. Masoli lied to his coach and embarrassed the university, his teammates, and disappointed a lot of fans.
Nope, I would throw him in the fire. We want him to become a great QB for Oregon, right? You can't baby him. If Chips feels that Darron Thomas is ready, then he will start him. I'm sure that Darron will makes some mistakes, but that comes with the learning process. I'm very excited for the Darron Thomas era!Penky26 wrote:I agree. A qb getting his first road start at Tennessee, then still having to go to USC, Cal and OSU. Not a good thing at all.

Some people on here (and you know who you are) were being huge dicks the past few weeks when people would post info they had, and I think a few individuals should man up and apologize. I also think it's time to take it easy on the SAE fraternity now that charges have officially been filed.

Re: Masoli charged
If Masoli lied to Chip & was involved in the theft somehoe he needs to be booted. It sucka royally but it has to be done. I'll wait to see what the verdict is tho before I bury him. He could very well be found guilty of only being in the house & not stealing anything, which is not deserving of much punishemnt IMO. Stupidity isn't a crime.

What do you expect people to do, not have any reaction or opinion at all? I guess you are calling Rob Mosely stupid then for saying that Masoli should be gone.

Re: Masoli charged
Just because Masoli is being charged doesn't mean he is guilty same as LMJ. If they are found guilty however they both should be gone, unfortunately it will effect the season but DT, Costa, Barner and the new RB's should be able to step up. It sucks because there was so much hype going into this coming season but the reality is unless Masoli was to somehow become a more efficient passer the Ducks would not be playing for a NC. The team does still have a great shot at another conference title though even with them gone. Spring practice should be all about Costa and DT battling it out for the starting position.
