Probably didn't have the correct papers since he just chose them today. He'll probably have it in by tomorrow afternoon.chump01284 wrote:twitter-

On KVAL in Eugene, they showed an interview he gave to a Portland station and he said that he never talked to Altman after he was hired so I don't think we even had a shot with him after a hiring a coach.

Kentucky coach John Calipari called Jones after his announcement and Jones was on the phone for a very long time. About 15 minutes. Reading body language, Jones seemed pained.
He told me, "You hurt thousands of people just as much as you make people happy."
Calipari is such a dirtbag. Can't believe he'd pull a guilt trip on the kid. Jones didn't "hurt" anyone.

That is a harsh thing to say to a recruit. Calipari is an a**. I'll never look at him the same way again.dthomas=ddixon wrote:http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/h ... cation=rss

You actually respected him before? The guy is a scumbag. I hope Jones sticks with his commitment and that Kentucky stinks this year. Dirty programs eventually get caught and implode.greenyellow wrote:That is a harsh thing to say to a recruit. Calipari is an a**. “If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

Re: Terrence Jones announcing his decision on Friday
I never said I respected him. It's that any sort of positive feeling I had towards him is completely gone. Hopefully every recruit (and their parents) reads that quote and sees Calipari for who he really is. Kentucky will be under sanctions soon enough under him. Every school he goes to eventually ends up with some kind of sanctions.uostudent wrote:You actually respected him before? The guy is a scumbag. Jones still hasn't signed yet
. But given the way Calipari is acting, I almost hope he stays UW. Almost.

Well I hate Washington, Capilari is looking like a douche pickle, and he apparently doesn't like the Ducks. I hope he goes and plays pro ball in Europe.

- Percy Allen of the Seattle Times.--- Seems like there was some confusion in the last post about this sentence: "He told me, "You hurt thousands of people just as much as you make people happy."
That's Jones talking to me. The 'He' is Jones and that's his and not Calipari's.
Looks like Coach Cal didn't say that.

Re: Terrence Jones announcing his decision on Friday
If Cal didn't say that, then I still have a little shred of good feeling about him. With Jones saying that, it's sort of an odd thing to say but it's kind of a true statement. With any choice he made, Jones was going to makes thousands feel hurt while making another group happy.swagnatic101 wrote:- Percy Allen of the Seattle Times.--- Seems like there was some confusion in the last post about this sentence: "He told me, "You hurt thousands of people just as much as you make people happy."

Re: Terrence Jones announcing his decision on Friday
For all the Kenny Payne love that we have mentioned, did anyone else notice that the recruiter thanked by Jones, in reference to Oregon, was "Coach Ya"... Yasir Rosemond,
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!
