Finally sombody credits a great defensive effort by Bama. That being said I still think Oregon could have put up points if we played either one of those teams. LSU's offense was tragic, they should have at least put Lee in to give him a chance to get things going. According to my eye test Oregon is the best team to finish this season. Just my opinion...
Bama's D was good but LSU with an imploding O made them look better than they actually were.
USC may have been the best team at the finish of the season, if not Oregon.

Well that didn’t go the way I expected….I have to give it to Bama’s D and offense.

Their D did exactly what was needed to when the game, stop the option and frustrate the QB. One poster on here said they “just saw the laziest option play ever”…well it is easy to see in a game when there are 4-5 defenders playing disciplined football and not giving up any lanes on the outside. Bama’s defense was stifling.

Their offense got it done too…they did what they needed to do to win….and that was play mistake free football and get to the red zone and capitalize. I have to say that our defense played very well to keep them out on the end zone until the end.

It was a great season, 13-1 and a national championship appearance is one hell of an accomplishment. Looking forward to next year. Should be a SEC vs Pac-12 national championship game next year and I’m positive my Tigers will be representing the SEC.

Thanks…it was truly a fun season. I’m glad that y’all were a part of it. The opening game against y’all will go down as my favorite this year.

Sorry bud! I was rooting for ya'll. Even when I saw LSU lost, first thing I was thinking about was how bud was taking the loss.

Ha…thanks for your thoughts. I took it with an additional 6 beers and the rest of the wings.

I don't know. Just from the parts of the game I saw, it looked like more than Bama's D. Jefferson missed wide open WRs multiple times. He didn't look like he was checking down past his first option even though he wasn't always under pressure.

Also, disciplined option play includes recognizing when lanes aren't there and taking a short loss/gain. Jefferson was running the option backwards all the way to the sideline.
