I know I'm off base a little here, but I am going to be half shocked when we don't get commits after visits with this staff!

Unbelievable. They said it couldn't happen here. What else can WT do?

spot on. I have not seen this room so excited ever. Maybe more then the Chip days.
I remember shortly after Helfrich was let go all the talk about what will
happen to the old staff. We all liked them and appreciate their time here at
Oregon. But i think WT did the right thing and replaced them all. Even tho we wont have
the longevity of the old staff i dont think WT has shown he can get coaches here.
So now the wait is on recruiting and see what they can do in a short time. Then the spring game.
There is enough going on that i think this room will still be hopping. I cant imagine if nothing had happened
with the previous coaching staff. This board would have morphed into o-live or worse lol
I do wish the old staff well and hope those looking for work find it.

We might find that some Helfrich players don't want to work. I'm expecting attrition and we may not win a lot of games, but I think players will play hard.duckfan22 wrote:Wt is going to prove them all wrong. This post season was so awful. Not because of the losses. But because the players didn't care.
Tag has cleared the dead wood. No fire left in that old wood. There's a reason to be excited.

Thanks guys. Glad to share what I can when I can. I'm no insider or anything. Just happen to be related to a guy that kind of is.Phenom wrote:Good call!OregonDonor wrote:Well, it ends up that he does know. Tomorrow or Saturday it will be announced.

Re: Mario Cristobal hire?
Thought I'd try to throw together a small list of guys who Cristobal already has relationships with and who have already shown interest in Oregon. Would love to get either of these LBs.
VanDarius Cowan - 4* OLB - Bama commit and total longshot but he's friendly on twitter with some of our other FL commits and tweeted this morning about the Cristobal hire "Oregon not playing... big moves"
Latavious Brini - 4* CB - Already showing lots of interest in Oregon.
De'Andre Wilder - 4* OLB - Miami commit but already talk of him as a possible flip before the Cristobal hire. He visits next weekend I believe. Cristobal was his primary recruiter at Bama.

Great analysis by Ryan Bartow of Cristobal's hiring: http://oregon.247sports.com/Bolt/Instan ... t-50520660

Brini and Wilder are possible, no way on Cowan. Someone replied to his tweet you mentioned and asked if he was opening his recruitment back up and he replied "F*** no." lol

Think it was couple weeks ago I said this team is starting to feel like the 90's Miami vibe, well boom! There it is!
