College players getting free cars is old news
Cash in an envelope? Yep
A no show job? You bet
That's usually how it works, although cam Newton got like 200k cash

Cam got $200k and Auburn got a natty. The NCAA needs more power to police.

They have the power but not the will to pull the trigger on a blue blood or cash cow. Remember Newton was ruled ineligable and then the NCAA cleared him not even 24 hours later the week of the SEC Championship game.

I totally disagree. They have no true investigative power. Don't want to comply? No consequences. That's why they got in trouble with the Miami case some years back, because they tried to create investigative power by tying NCAA rules to U.S. laws. Didn't work.TualatinDuck wrote:StevensTechU wrote:Cam got $200k and Auburn got a natty. The NCAA needs more power to police.

How would they go about getting true investigative power without opening a giant can of worms?StevensTechU wrote:I totally disagree. They have no true investigative power. Don't want to comply? He'll be announcing it during halftime of the New Mexico Bowl on Saturday on ESPN. Game starts at 11 PM PST so it'll likely be sometime around 12:30-1:30 PM.

Thinking since ESPN is going to cover the announcement it all but guarantees he's Bama bound.

FlDuckFan, that’s the question that’s so difficult that it’s led to the facade that we have. I don’t have the answer.

Re: Thibodeaux gone?
Now you’re speaking for everyone? Fake news, at worst it might be 50/50, or the correct statement would of been, the consensus of those who posted in that thread is he is not coming.Duck24 wrote:To save you 4 pages of reading, consensus is seemingly that he ain’t comin’.
Hey mods how about a poll on iwho feels he’s ours or going somewhere else.

Re: Thibodeaux gone?
Barton Simmons, director of scouting for 247 Sports, said in a video yesterday that he thinks KT's most likely destination is Oregon, mainly due to how well the coaches have handled his recruitment.

Let's go Biggins!!! If we want to take the next step these are the players we need and the recruiting battles we have to win. Pac12 is dead if the top talent keeps heading east to play in the SEC.
