If need be, Harper could move to RB.

In the past we had always been able to recruit skill positions and no big dominant lineman. Now
we have the lineman and no RB'S or WR'S. WTF

We have LMJ, Blount, Crenshaw, Alston, Harper........ I think we are fine at RB and we have a ton of receivers so we are fine there as well and we will be even better next year with Grant already committed and I am sure the Ducks will land a top 10 class this time around and maybe even finally land the top guy after striking out the last two years!!!!

Tennessee is the next USC

Oregon's offense won't prepare me for the NFL

I hope he is ready to be disappointed.
BryceBrown wrote:"I just didn't think (Oregon) would prepare me enough for the NFL,'' Brown told Wichita Sports Radio 1410 KGSO after his announcement.
Translation, Tennessee pays well.

Didn't we have a good JC RB on the line? What happened with that kid?

I am a strong Christian myself and fully understand where Bryce is coming from when he says God played a big role in his decision. However, if he was feeling something for months it seems a bit selfish of his parents to say that he needs to wait and look closer to home. I did just finish reading Shaun Alexander's autobiography and he said he chose Alabama in large part due to the large church influence in the south. Eugene is not the most churched city but it just all seems a bit fishy. If God was really laying it on BB's heart that Tennessee was the place fine. But would God lead you under the direction of Lane Kiffin????

Maybe Bryce is waiting to aid Kiffen in his conversion experience... ? Wasn't there a comment made that Oregon would be the easy choice when hewas comparing the Ducks with Miami, because Miami would be a more spiritually challenging destination?

Maybe BB feels like Tennessee will be a compromise between the two.

To answer your question, the answer is no. I just wish these recruits would be honest about why they picked/didn't pick a school.

Apparently so.

But it doesn't surprise me.. That's been the case for about 3-4 recruits every year. (Boyd, Boyd, McNeal, Streeter, Harris, Bryce, etc..)

I agree...I don't think Bryce has been very honest about the situation. I feel like he is telling everyone what they want to hear.

Sounds to me like Bryce could have been more respectful to Chip in terms of his parting comments regarding the Ducks. :?

I'm thinking it was several hostesses and probably an Escalade and a few Benjamins in mom and dads bank accounts...

ghetarr2007 wrote:Lane Kiffin is a snake and was definitely nega-recruiting the hell out of Oregon. I'm sure he made Oregon out to be the worst possible choice among his suitors. Why else do you think Bryce went from dreaming about playing for Oregon before he goes to bed to calling the offense flashy and not being able to prepare him for the NFL?

IMO, BB could have taken the EXACT SAME ROUTE JStew took at Oregon. #1 RB plays for 3 years then declares after junior season to be drafted in the mid first round. Stewart didn't do too shabby as a rookie now did he? It all depends on the player. I don't think anyone can argue Reggie Bush has had a great career so far as a rusher in the NFL. But Lane still probably bragged about Reggie the whole time that he prepared him so well.

Why are people so annoyed with Duckgrad voicing his opinion? Give me a break, anyone defending Brown for picking UT today is lying to themselves he made the right choice.

Bryce Brown is now dead to me. DTM. See you in 2010 and 2011 buddy.
Does anyone else think this kid is kind of a dim bulb. I mean really, look at his decisions...
