Not considering it's in the BULLDAWG BOWL IN ATLANTA. Texas isn't well like there.

That post was made before the targeting non-call, a game-deciding decision in favor of Texas.

Hmm. Who to root for, or rather, root against the least.

Ohio State's fanbase is insufferable. Seeing their fans hate their own coach is humorous, and then losing would help with future trash talk (who cares if we went 1-1 against each other if they didn't get any hardware out of it). Will Howard is a giant douche. On the other side, Chip is there and it's a "B1G" win. And them winning makes us look better, while them losing probably makes us look worse, though people love revisionist history so who knows.

Penn State's players make so many cheap shots I actually wonder if it's taught and practiced. James Franklin is highly unlikeable. On the other side, another team that would be a victory for the conference and whatever money flows to the Ducks for it.

Notre Dame. Does any non-Catholic actually like this team? At least they aren't in the southeast, they're sort of Big Ten in spirit (financially, no help), and I don't have any issues with any of their players or coaches, really.

Georgia: Kirby is a whiney bitch, if we're being honest. The southeastern conference/ESPN love affair is outright bad for the sport, and is going a long way toward turning it into a regional spectacle instead of a national one. Their fans, while confident, are ifne and I think their players are, too.

Texas has nothing likable about them that I can see, honestly. Sark is a top 3-5 most hateable coach. The media love affair with them is awful (just like USC). Now that they're a southeastern conference, I just don't think I could bring myself to root for them in just about any circumstance. I like their D coordinator, though.

Only one possession, but Notre Dame's defense looks outright faster than Georgia's offense. Who expected that.

Well that escalated quickly: tied 3 to 3 with less than a minute left in the half, and then Notre Dame scores 10 points in 10 seconds to take the 13-3 lead into halftime.

And then the Irish add a TD on the opening kickoff of the 3rd qtr. Wow.

My takeaway from bowl season: Oregon would have won any conference you could've put them in this year. Oregon > Georgia > Texas

I'm wondering if it has dawned on the people who do the seeding, and the NCAA, that having nearly a month off is a disadvantage. If Georgia loses today, all four of the top four seeds will have lost without advancing

While I do think agree that the bye is a disadvantage, I don't think the top 4 seeds all losing can be completely attributed to that. All 4 were underdogs or a pick 'em. Georgia playing their first game with a backup QB probably has more to do with it than the bye.

I doubt anyone has been overly impressed with Georgia's starter this year, and their backup seems to be holding his own at the moment

Oh look, Georgia just lost to Notre Dame by more than Indiana did. So, does this mean that Georgia didn't belong in the playoffs?

This should be an asterisk year with the disclaimer “this year was ruined by a bunch of suit wearing tools that know nothing about college football yet somehow got to make the biggest decisions”. We need a new committee of former players and coaches.

Big ten with half the teams in the semifinals! If Oregon didn’t play a big ten team, good chance we’d have 3 in the semifinals.
