Ducks convert after a 2nd and 24. Nice to see Hampton get the catch there. Need a score here before the half, just like last week.

More like our coordinators are driving Ferraris off off a cliff killing this team’s chances for this season, can’t grow from death.

New coordinators are easy scapegoats but this is a program pattern under Lanning. I think we’ll still win but sluggish play and poor execution isn’t something that just appeared this year.

Mehringer hasn’t been great….but Moore was wide open on 4th down and Dante just missed

Absolute garbage. WTF is wrong with this team? We've been sold a bill of goods.

That was the worst performance by an Oregon football team I’ve seen since the first half against Indiana in 2006, I don’t think I’ve seen Oregon look so disjointed under Helf. Somehow though we are only down one score.

Lanning never had to prove himself when he had LESS resources than opponents. He’s no cignetti that’s for sure. Cig had to rise level by level and prove himself every time. Dan was lucky enough to get a D cord position at Georgia where Kirby was already a D mastermind.

Dan benefited from a strong coordinator in dillingham and then Stein benefited from an incredibly veteran talented quarterback in Nix. But since then it's been all downhill on the Dan landing offensive coaching tree. Will Stein inflated his stats against opponents we largely outclassed but against good defenses he routinely struggled and in key moments he also struggled. And then Dan landing went and appointed his assistant, the new offensive coordinator. I'm still trying to keep an open mind that is early in the season and that this is a small sample size but damn.
Willie Taggart is a dick.

That said, I think Dante played well enough at the end of the half to earn himself. One more possession in the third quarter, but we have two very good backups including one who has significant game experience and I don't think Dan lanning should be hesitant to make the handoff if Dante still looks like he's struggling. At some point he needs to realize that loyalty can be a weakness and that sometimes winning requires putting loyalty aside.

He’s too loyal to a fault. When there’s too much loyalty nobody works with a fire under their ass.

Welcome to the 70's. A bunch of us older Ducks suffered through THAT. Not fun.

We’re now turning on Dan? Stein is somehow still catching strays even though he’s in Lexington?

I realize we look like hot steaming garbage right now and it completely sucks. We are rightfully pissed as Duck fans.

But there is no one I want more at the helm of my team than Dan Lanning.

The weird dichotomy is:

Oregon had about the absolute worst possible first half you could have.

Okie State had about the absolute best half you could have, other than the turnovers.

Yet we are only down 7.

As a fan it’s both a cause for hope and also a massive concern. I’m alternating between both right now.
