Props to both guys for getting it done in the classroom. Hopefully Altman can keep up Ernie's tradition of graduating most of the players on the basketball team.Oregon basketball: Garrett Sim, Nic Fearn make Pac-10 All-Academic 2nd team
Oregon guards Garrett Sim and Nic Fearn were named to the Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic second team on Monday.
Sim, the Ducks' starting shooting guard, was recognized for his 3.08 GPA in accounting.
Fearn, a former walk-on who appeared in 26 games this season but is no longer with the team, carries a 3.14 GPA in business administration.
The Ducks traveled to Omaha on Sunday, for tonight's CBI Tournament championship series opener at Creighton, with 10 players.
Neither Fearn nor fellow walk-ons John Elorriaga or Nicholas Lucenti are still with the team. Jeremy Jacob is recuperating from his second knee surgery in five months.
That leaves the starting five of Sim, Malcolm Armstead, E.J. Singler, Tyrone Nared and Joevan Catron, plus key reserves Johnathan Loyd, Teondre Williams and Jay-R Strowbridge, plus Martin Seiferth and Matt Losli.
