Saw a topic on scout about him and it looks legit.

Olu Ashaolu from Louisiana Tech has decided to transfer to a bigger program for his final year of eligibility. He graduated from LA Tech with a degree in Business Administration and had a 3.8+ gpa in high school. Like Strowbridge, he'd be eligible to play immediately.
Louisiana Tech transfer Olu Ashaolu hearing from Kentucky, San Diego State, Duquesne, Oregon, Kansas State, Iowa State & Mississippi State.
But from another source:
Ashaolu leaving Tech early after talks with White

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech head coach Michael White announced Monday that forward Olu Ashaolu will not be returning to the program for his final year of eligibility.
White, who was introduced as the Bulldogs head coach last week, said that he and Ashaolu had an opportunity to talk in detail about the Toronto, Canada native’s plans for his future and that they came to an agreement on his decision.

“Olu has been an important part of this program for the past four years, and we wish him the best in whatever the future may hold,” White said. “Olu was one of the first people I talked to after accepting this job because I wanted him to get an opportunity to hear about my plans for the direction of this program.

“He was very open to our talk but at the end of the day, he has decided that it is time for him to move on to the next chapter in his life. I’m excited about future of this program, and the guys who want to be a part of it.”

Olu, who has already earned his bachelor’s degree, has one year of college eligibility remaining after red-shirting his true freshman year at Louisiana Tech and is currently talking to Oregon and San Diego State. The 6-foot-7-inch forward earned WAC All-Defensive team honors as a junior after averaging 14.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per contest.
He's a 6'7 225 PF. He averaged 14.2/9.4 last season. He's supposed to be a terrific athlete.

Coming out of high school, Ashaolu originally committed to Rutgers. He also had an offer from LSU.

Ashaolu would be a nice short-term replacement for Catron.

If Jacob is healthy, the rotation of Singler, JJ, Emory, Nared, Kuemper, and Ashaolu has some intriguingly athletic possibilities.

Also would open up another scholarship for 2012, which appears to be a loaded class.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's a player that could take over the scholarship of Teondre or Seiferth if either one decides to transfer. If it's Teondre's schollie, then it really wouldn't be opening up another scholarship for next season.

One day I am going to get on the ground and thank long lost educators for the idea of junior colleges.

Very cool, this guy would seem to be a terrific add for us...lets hope Loyd is ready to run the show!

Adding this guy and Emory...wow that would be fan-fricking-tastic!
