I don't know... I was sort of hoping Carolina would take a flyer on Gabbert.
Locker may never play a down as a QB in the NFL.

Well UO has had two top ten bust who (at least most honest UO fans) new should have never been drafted that high because they had faults and needed to go to teams that could coach them up for a couple of years. Looks like UW has the next big bust. Also I can't believe Minny took Ponder, the guy is at best a 2nd round pick and most years he would be a 3-4th rounder. Wow is all I can say on that pick.

Out of the 4 QBs taken, I would say Ponder and Locker are the biggest reaches in the first round.

I thought Locker would never start a game at QB in the Nfl, but at some point you give a a 8 pick a chance, I guess. His overall inaccurate passing will catch up with him no doubt. I guess we can't throw too many stones with our Duck QB's in the NFL.

This from Peter King of SI
8. Tennessee: Jake Locker at 8.
Stunning. Just stunning. Started for parts of four seasons in college, and completed 54 percent of his throws in his college career. Great leader, great kid, great locker-room guy. But
if he is Kyle Boller as a thrower, how can he make it in the NFL?

If he's like Boller, he's going to be nothing more than a career, journeyman back-up.

When you have a chance to draft a QB who lead his team to the only 0-12 season in Pac10 history, you have to do it.

Locker is incredibly overrated. I've tried to give him a chance and admit he'll be a decent NFL QB. It just isn't working..
Lol @ Ponder going to the Vikings that high. I'm loving it as a Packers fan.

What I don't get with Locker is so many people can see his faults but there are still a good number of people that look past them. He can't even throw accurately when doing drills let alone under pressure from Ray Lewis or Dwight Freeney. .........If a QB ever goes 4/20 in a college game i as a GM would cross them off my list of QB's that I'd have interest in
