do the people posting those think that they ever attract even one customer?

Yeah the frequency of these spams is getting quite annoying. 8 of the 11 postings that show when I just logged in are spam. Is there any way to put in a "report" button or a "spam" button where if more than one reports it, it goes away?

On the bright side, at least we know where to get cheap medication.

And the occasional download of movie and porn.

We'll start looking into it more. It's definitely our top priority. I've been extremely busy this year, it's crazy. But I'll start making more of an effort to clean up spam and try to find a permanent solution.

It's been crazy lately. I'm sure the guys are getting tired of me clicking on the little "i" to report them, but we should do it so they know. When you use the View Active Topics to see the latest........OMG!!!! Spam, spam, spam. I do need a new job, so maybe they're hiring!! NOT........... I'd rather eat dirt.

back when i was a mod on the old board I seem to recall having to approve users before they could post, is that still the same setup?

This is actually probably what we need to bring back. We originally lifted it because it somewhat of a pain to wait as a new user to check out a message board. But unfortunately, this seems like the ideal situation considering the amounts of spam we've been getting lately.

Only figures we have a thread about stopping spam messages that finally gets hit by spammers.

The spam has really gotten out of control. Hopefully something can change soon. I would say go back to approving users before they can post.

This site has almost become unreadable with all the spam...

Wow. Today must be Spammer Day. Yikes. Feel bad for our administrators having to wipe it all out. I'm okay with re-registering if necessary.

For now all new members will have to be approved by us... Until I can find a better fix, in the mean time we are working to remove all the old spammers and all posts.
