Unbelievable, it's being reported the head of tOSU compliance department traded football tickets for the free use of a car. You can't make this stuff up!

But since he's not a student-athlete, he can do as he pleases. I'd be surprised if anything comes of this, but the NCAA could eventually deepen their investigation and find the athletic department fully knew about what was going on with its athletes. That could easily get them a lack of institutional control and really big sanctions.

Were the tickets he gave for the Jeep his own, paid for out of his own pocket?

If so, it seems like it would be a legitimate trade.

As the article clearly stated the transactions was totally legal and didn't violate any established rules. It is the "do as I say, not as I do" hypocrisy that make this unbelievable to me.

True, but it goes to show the whole program seemed to feel entitled. Top to bottom.

Based on all of the car allegations, it sounds like an "I didn't say anything, do as I do" kind of deal.

If they were his own tickets, I don't see what the problem is. He gave up something of value and received something of value. But, if he gave someone great tickets through his connection to the university, at no cost to himself, in order to get a free Jeep, that is crazy.
