Ohio St 2009 Rose bowl victory
I believe the NCAA is not done, I believe they will take away the 2009 rose bowl win against Oregon! I think NCAA comes down harsh on Ohio St. loss of scholarships and bowl victories while Pryor was there at Ohio st.
Its Otime everytime, Quack loud and Proud!

Meh. Doesn't bother me either way. As much as it pains me, Ohio St. was the better team that day, and they won. I'm over it. A vacated win doesn't make Oregon better all the sudden.

Several years from now our records may appear much better than what they really were. "officially" we could be 10-0 in 2005, 10-1 in 09 and 12-0 in 2010 if auburn and ohio st have to vacate........It doesn't really mean anything to me but 20-30 years from now people may look at that differently and think we were possibly better then we were

Doubtful... Usually when the NCAA vacates a win, it still counts as a loss for the other team.
No hardware will come to Oregon, and the Rose Bowl will still show as a loss.
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

if the ohio state rose bowl victory is vacated our loss will also be vacated. we just wont get a win. just like the holiday bowl loss to Oklahoma in DD's junior year.

o, good to know. But that really doesnt have anything to do with my point. when a team vacates a win (like OU did apparently for a short period of time), the losing team also vacates the loss. its like the game was never playedmaxduck wrote:Oklahoma's win was reinstated.mdm0302 wrote:if the ohio state rose bowl victory is vacated our loss will also be vacated. we just wont get a win. just like the holiday bowl loss to Oklahoma in DD's junior year.

Even though it may not show up in the official records as a loss, most fans who watched or attended those games and those who played will still consider it one.
