Sounds like ESPN is chomping at the bit to broadcast high school games with Texas recruits in them. No. That wouldn't provide an unfair recruiting advantage, would it? As long as they don't show the Texas logo during the broadcast!

What a joke. And Canzano thinks that Lyles is a threat to CFB.

With these media/news relationships, we're looking at football becoming more like the WWF with network sponsored teams getting all the best recruits, coaches, money, bowls, etc. Picking winners for ratings.

I'm with you. ESPN getting in bed with Texas was terrible for the sport.

I don't like ESPN partnering with one school over other schools either. It makes one of the biggest sports channels/marketers possibly being incapable of providing fair coverage to those they may also cover.

They're sitting there as we type, trying to gauge whether or not they can pass it by without public complaint, putting their PR ducks in a row by "asking the NCAA how to do it." As if the NCAA doesn't already take cues from ESPN itself.

I'd wager that most football fans don't even know that the ESPN/Longhorn deal even happened.
