Who was the guy at Florida that got in trouble ( DUI ? assault ?) and was suspeneded a whole first quarter last year.Bud Lee wrote:Bigducker wrote:Jefferson could have half killed a guy in the bar but will still start against Oregon...... Remember were talking about the SEC.
Yeah…because we would never sit or kick off a star quarterback because he got in a bar fight![]()
Guess you never heard of Ryan Perrilloux. He was WAY more talented then JJ and he got the bounce with the quickness after a bar fight...and other team violations.
I love you Pac 12 homers that think the SEC is sooooooooooo dirty. By my count we are the only big conference that does not have one team in hot water right now.
ETA: check that...BIG XII is good too
By the way…you do know that it is Jordan “Jefferson” …. Not “Jefferies”…right?Iluvmydux wrote:Now this could be interesting.

We don't think the SEC is any dirtier than us. We've had plenty of teams on probation! I think his point was it seems like actual punishments in the SEC aren't as strict. LSU might be different, I have no idea and you're right about Perrilleaux. I think Stephen Garcia is the poster boy right now.Bud Lee wrote:Bigducker wrote:Jefferson could have half killed a guy in the bar but will still start against Oregon...... Uhm…that cop did the best he could to turn the other way when he smelled weed in the car. If there was ANYONE else in that car, including a team player that his name is so recognizable, the dogs would have been called in and that car would have been torn apart looking for weed.Oregon for example has abosolutely no bubble as the reporters are constantly gunning for us and in reality we are an easy target due "new money" status. There are very few people willing to sweep transgressions under the rug for Oregon. IN the SEC however, I'm willing to bet there are many folks around the programs willing to look the other way.
On a local level it would not surprise me if Cops were a little more leinent (at times) than the rest of the population for all BCS level programs. I'm just trying to say that the SEC culture gives more protection for teams against scandal. How much more would be debatable in my mind....Bud Lee wrote:Uhm…that cop did the best he could to turn the other way when he smelled weed in the car. Do peeps look the other way when they can down here…ABSOL-FRICKING-LUTELY… Just like they do and did in the ACC, BIG 10, and the PAC.
