Do you guys think he is worth a 3rd round pick?

I think he is worth it. I think Oakland is a TERRIBLE place for him to land though. It will be interesting to see what becomes of him.

This will bankrupt him.

Third round is tough. But look where Locker was taken based on measureables and Pryor's are better than Jake's.

I would have drafted Pryor over Locker given the choice. Unless a team is looking for a linebacker or a lot of losses, they are taking a pretty big gamble on Locker.

It's not bad to give up a 3rd round pick for a player like Pryor, due to his potential in the right situation, but him going to Oakland is probably one of the worst spots for him.

If Im not mistaken, they have to give up a 3rd round pick next year. Usually 3rd round picks have the potential to play/start... If TP sees the field anytime soon (as a QB) I'll be shocked. But Jason Campbell sucks and the Raiders are the Raiders so I guess anything is possible...

Oakland has no 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round picks now. Terrible move in my opinion, but Pryor's forty time punched his ticket to Oakland.

As for whether Pryor warranted a 3rd round pick by himself, I don't think so. Pryor is a very raw passer, terrible mechanics, not consistent, etc. Drafting on upside more often than not screws you over.

Yeah, but a 3rd round pick on a guy with his size and speed can't be that bad of a move. If he can transition to WR, it could be a great pickup.

Meh, there are better values out there in the third round each and every year. Transitioning an athlete to wide receiver is not an easy task, just look at Jordan Kent. Granted, Pryor has played football far longer than Kent did upon becoming a receiver, it still is an apt comparison in some ways. How many quarterbacks make that transition to wide receiver? There are a few, I can think of Brad Smith, Randle El, and there are probably a few others...but it aint easy.

So that leads us to whether they keep him at quarterback. Do most NFL scouts think he can make it at quarterback? Most think if things go great he has a shot, but the odds still aren't great. Hell, the Patriots got Ryan Mallett in this year's draft, and he's a much more talented quarterback than Pryor ever was.

My point is a bit flawed though, reason being that I've never seen Pryor as an NFL quarterback and I don't believe that him moving positions will be smooth sailing either. Maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see though.

Size and speed alone is not enough. If it were Jordan Kent would be playing on Sundays.
