Jacory Harris involved in Miami scandal?

The accusation that Harris is one of 12 current Hurricanes who allegedly broke NCAA rules by accepting gifts from rogue booster Nevin Shapiro is overshadowing just about everything that happened on the field during training camp.
It seems like we almost landed him. I wonder if the violations occurred during his recruitment or after he had already signed with them.

The way i remember is he was going to sign with us but his mom
wouldn't sign the letter. Glad he didn't. He threw more interceptions
then he did to his own team. Doesn't have a great deal of good judgement
obviously.

I think Harris would have redshirted a year, been a backup a year and then fought for playing time with Darron Thomas so he would have had some time to learn and had much better coach under Kelly(who was QB coach at time) and then Helfrich. Harris would have done very well here

I've watched Harris a lot and IMO he isn't near as accurate as DT, and he lacks the natural leadership DT has. I for one am much happier with DT everyday of the week over Harris.

Didn't Jacory play in a pro style offense last year?
I don't see DT doing very well in that type of system either.... And although DT has a slightly better completion ratio @ 61.5% it's pretty rare for him to actually hit his receivers on target.

Jacory, like Thomas is typecast as a dual threat QB due to his skin color. Harris probably has comparable speed to Thomas, but is an inferior runner. Harris is definitely a pro-style QB.
I've watched Harris quite a bit and he's not nearly as bad as Miami fans make him out to be. He has a good arm (better than Thomas'), but is a horrible decision maker. Many of his interceptions are due to the fact that he tries to force the issue. Thomas is a much better leader, doesn't get rattled, and usually makes pretty sound decisions on the field. However, I think think there's a chance that Harris could have a breakout year as a senior.
