A fan's Prayer

I read an article titled, "A College Football Fans Prayer." Decided to write one of my own in hopes that others might follow. Here's mine:

As CFB nears and the end of this reached off season draw to a close I am forced to do something I really do…I pray.
God, you have given CFB fans many trial and tribulations this off season. From the firing of a legend at Ohio St, the attempted murder of a poising of a 100 year old tradition at Auburn, Oregon paying a street agent with a check, and everything else, you have tested our faith to this sport more than ever before. Well god, I am happy to say…we passed!!
Across this great nation fans by the millions are anxiously awaiting to fill stadiums, sports bars, and their friends houses, to watch their beloved teams take the field of battle. We are going to wear our lucky shirts and our team’s colors in hopes that it might help them win, even though we know it won’t. We will scream outlandish things like “I could have caught that” and “what the hell was he thinking,” even though we are probably wrong. We will suffer though the heartbreak of disappointment and enjoy thrilling excitement of a last second victory. I will feel like I failed when my team loses and I achieved something when my team wins, even though it makes no since at all. Yes sir…I mean god…we passed, and we did it with flying colors!!
I will end this prayer by saying thankyou and god bless beer, football, Roll Tide, Hook’em Horns, War Eagle,Go Ducks, Go Huskers, Boomer Sooner, the payers at USC who play their hearts out only to be a spoiler, all the traditions and histories and the other teams and fans across this nation. From the rivalries we love, the teams we hate, and every other thing related to college football….(except the BCS system. That thing can burn in hell!!)…as kickoff draws near, I say thankyou!!

Amen.
