Just a real quick question on this kid. I am really impressed with the vids of this kid. Does he see the field as a true freshman? I think he will, but I am not as close to the team as others. Just wondering what yall think.

Based on our depth and the number of people we have playing the position already... It may sound odd, but it is a blessing in the long run if he doesn't play and redshirts... Even if he is really really good, we have enough people on our roster to suffice without burning his freshman year on limited playing time.

Your guess is as good as mine. If needed, I think that Diante is physically ready to compete at the college level. I don't know how quickly he will adjust mentally. It takes some players, such as Jamere Holland, longer than others. There are also some things that are still up in the air that could influence this decision. Will Tyrece Gaines be on the roster next season? Will Bryce Brown on the roster next season? Although he is a running back, his decision might have a domino effect on what position certain players, such as Chris Harper, play. There are going to be a lot of receivers vying for a spot on the 2-deep depth chart so it is really hard to predict at this point.

Hard to say, physically he could be a stud, but is he disciplined to study the play book, learn his blocking assignments, and stay out of trouble? Finally, can he even catch in D1? I hope he's a great talent and produces for the Ducks. I doubt it will be this season though. However, I did hear that he would be given the opportunity to contribute immediately.
