WVU fans booing/players accusing LSU of faking it
So apparently no one can have a legitimate injury anymore…any player that falls down must be doing so to “slow” the tempo of the game. I’ve said before on here before…I hate it when fans boo a player for what they think is a fake injury. You simply cannot know if the man on the ground is hurt or not.
By the way…the three players that WVU booed were T-Bob (day-to-day is he will play this week) , Alex Hurst and Craig Loston are listed as likely to play, and Michael Brockers (who went down twice and left the game after the second time) was still out yesterday but is expected to return.

Yep. Hopefully Oregon fans are getting ahead of the curve and now realize you only boo players who come sprinting in the next play after being carried out by 3 trainers just seconds before. Never boo a player while he is down.

See GPD...I'm actually okay with booing them then...but doing it while they are down is classless. Except for maybe during the ASU vs. Ducks matchup last year. That was just ridiculous.GrandpaDuck wrote:Yep. The head coach for WVU was cussing up a storm when the players where down too. Arsehole!

Well Bud it's hard for us Duck fans not to boo when we see it almost every game. Like Grandpa Duck said they come running in on the very next play. I think we will continue to BOO until they stop faking it so much.

You see Chip in this video telling the Ref " You watch " "You watch " cause he knew he was faking it.

I'd say to eliminate booing, just change the rules to: if injured, sit for a min. of 5 plays. End of story. If truly injured, gives the kid a chance to get right. Good for everyone.

The thing is Quack, why not wait and boo them when they come sprinting back on...or in the few cases like ASU when it is the same player falling over and over again...two different games this year LSU has been booed (WVU and Oregon) and the injuries have been legit both times. I just see it as bad sportsmanship to boo a player immediately, and I’m not alone.
Little things like this really look bad when it comes to a national audience…I mean come on…booing a offensive lineman because you think they are trying to slow the pace…THEY SET THE PACE!! Little things like that make you look bad as a fan base. Especially when your coach looks like this while, the guy is down...

...I mean come on…we are up by 20…why would he be faking his injury? Because we didn’t want to use one of our 3 timeouts we had at the time?
From what I have heard from friends that have returned from the trip, WVU lived up to their reputation. They wore tasteless shirts poking fun of Katrina, they lined up on the east gate and made a “picket line” of shorts trying to keep fans from entering and some even resorting to placing their hands on opposing fans trying to get to their sets. Now, some were real nice folks from what I understand, but the butt heads just give the rest a bad name.
Speaking of buttheads…I apologize to anyone that got bread crumbs tossed at them at the cowboy classic on behalf of my LSU brethren…though…I did think that was kind of funny when I heard about that one.

^^ Funny, but not very original. We've been getting that one for years.
