Trovon Reed has an Oregon Junior Day and a USC Rising Stars camp in his plans.

Low GPA, but offer list is ridiculous. Great to hear he's going to come up here cuz getting recruits to visit us is like 60% of the battle

Even though he says that distance won't be a factor, it will end up being one since family members tend to want their son/grandson to play close so they can see them. I would be surprised if he did leave the Southeast to go to school. I say that LSU is the odds on bet to get him, but not necessarily a lock. We could also luck out and actually have a player that is willing to travel.

Not all players are the same. If he says he doesn't care about distance, there really is no reason to not believe him. Different players have different priorities.

I honestly would be shocked if he got out of LSU's grasp.

It doesn't surprise me he has a low GPA when he makes comments like Les Miles is "really humble."

That is like saying Lane Kiffin is "really classy."

Besides their uniforms, Reeds is also impressed by the Ducks offense. “Their offense is great,” he said. “It’s built for a playmaker like me. I think I’d fit in really well into that kind of system. Plus they always seem to do pretty good.”

With a school like Oregon piquing Reed’s interest, it’s clear that distance won’t be an issue. “Nope,” he said. “That don’t matter at all.”

“I really want to play for coaches that will have my back,” he said. “I want them to be like family to me.”

The U of O does, indeed, have a Master's Program in Kinesiology, and, if those grades are accurate, they should not prevent Reed from qualifying, assuming he chooses to attend here. (LSU has a Kinesiology Dept., as well.)

Oregon doesn't have an undergraduate degree in kinesiology. The closest thing that Oregon has is a B.S. degree in Human Physiology (which is what I have from the UO.) I don't believe that you can really succeed in the HP program unless you are really good in science and have a higher GPA in high school than what he has. The HP department is for students who are going to enter the medical fields (MDs, DDMs, PTs). Most people who want to major in kinesiology want to become athletic trainers, but Oregon doesn't have an AT undergraduate program. He would have to go to another school that offers AT courses for undergrads. Plus, with a football schedule, he would have a hard time since there is a lot of lab work that would conflict with practices and team activities.
