ESPN just reported the big east is thinking about adding BSu, so they can keep their BCS status. That is a pretty spread out confrence, and if they are willing to do that, why doesn't the Pac 12 offer ND a spot?

The Big East is basically selling themselves out and diluting their integrity by trying to get BSU. BSU joining the Big East would be like how the WAC is/was, with the conference stretching from Hawaii all the way to Louisiana.

Agreed, they are disparate and willing to do anything. I don’t think it is going to happen though. It doesn’t make since financially to have your smaller sports to have to travel that far.

Is it possible BSU will work out a deal for their football team only to join the BIG East?

What incentive is there for the Mountain West in that arrangement? They lose the marquee football program and all the related revenue and exposure. I don't think Boise State adds anything in any of the other sports. With the increased revenue from a BCS conference Boise State could gain a competitive advantage throughout their entire athletic program. I know the Big East will take that kind of arrangement but they are an oddity. The Mountain West should explain to BSU that they are either in or out.

I think they'd prolly go the route of BYU and join a lower conference like the WCC in all other sports.
