Just saw on twitter that Dennis Erickson is out at ASU regardless of the outcome of the next two games. If true, I'd have to say that DJ Foster's chances of committing would sky rocket.

Not totally surprised by this. He had a good year in 2007 but hasn't really done anything since. This was supposed to finally be the year where they broke out and made some noise with a team full of only Erickson's recruits. You'd think somebody would eventually be able to win consistently down there but they still have nothing.

Curious who they plan on going after.

MB's name will be on the list I would assume

anytime I hear MB's name pop up I wonder if any of the coaching staff would jump ship to follow him. A good deal of his success was the stability of the Oregon program... well for that matter the Ducks have to measure their own success by Assit. Coaches who have dedicated themselves to the program here.

I don't see anyone jumping ship to be honest. Oregon is at their peak right now and some of the older guys are entrenched not only in the team but also the community. Guys like Greatwood, Pellum, Campbell call U of O and Eugene home. Allioti is flourishing under kelly also.

I'll say this, I'll take our position coaches over NA any day as I could see somebody going after Jon Neal. Not that he might be ready for a HC gig, but the title of DC is certainly an upgrade. Not starting anything, just recognizing the job Neal has done here.

And dont underestimate the "wife factor"... most of the entrenched guys are married and the wife probably has a pretty big say. They're not young men looking to build their careers.... as I get older I find that stability is huge in my life/marriage....

That is literally the only reason Jon Fricking Gruden didn't coach here for a year or two. I'm so pissed about that,

I just don't see Bellotti taking another HC job since he seems to really enjoy not having the stress of running a program, especially recruiting.

Neuheisal?, Kiffin?, Tedford? Riley?

I could see any or all of them out by next season as well. Wouldn't be surprised if Shaw were replaced either.

I like it. Should make for entertaining developments in the next few seasons for the Pac.

IMO, Kiffin get a bye for a couple of years as they come out of the sanctions,... unless he pulls a bonehead violation.

Riley definitely gets into the frying pan if he has a repeat season, with the Duck success they can't continue the status quo.

Tedford at least one more season, but another who needs to show improvement. He'll get the pass until the renovations are completed, after that the heat of expectations will be turned up. A buyout on his contract doesn't seem plausible under the conditions of the economy in California State institutions.

The Weasel is gasping for breath on his career at UCLA. No way any team in such a fertile hotbed of talent should be that bad.

I think Shaw will be there at 'furd for awhile. Unless the team starts to tank bad after Luck leaves.

The league needs some stability and influx of Good" coaches.

I don't know what the source of that tweet was, but if ASU routs Arizona and Cal at home (where they seem to play much better) and -- assuming a UCLA loss to USC -- is then more competitive than expected vs. the Ducks in the CCG, and, finally, wins their bowl game decisively, I could see an argument that DE has earned the right to see another season in Tempe.
