IMO LSU already deserves at least a share of the title even if they lose because of what they accomplished in the regular season

They beat the Pac-12 Champs. The Big East Champs. Are the SEC champs.
Pretty damned impressive. Too bad they didn't get a shot at the Big-12 champs also.

Alas, the system is broken. Maybe the BCS will stipulate that to play in a NCG you have to at least be your conference's champion. It's not a playoff, but it would at least take the vetting a step further. It's been a helluva season for your Tigers Bud, you deserve to be proud.
