Nick Fairely following in the wrong footsteps?

Fairley, 24, was pulled over by police after residents complained about his vehicle speeding through a neighborhood, AL.com reported.

He was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, after police allegedly found the drug in his vehicle.

Fairley, who was drafted 13th overall last year, is now the second Lions player to be arrested for marijuana possession this offseason.

Running back Mikel Leshoure, drafted a round after Fairley, has been arrested twice for the offense over the past month, the Detroit Free Press reported Monday.

I'm shocked. He was such an upstanding citizen while in college.

When he joked around on Twitter about smashing LaMichael's head into the turf, I told him he'd better watch out because karma is a nasty hag and she gets even. I'm guessing she's just getting started with him.

Let's not like the boys in Eugene (or anywhere really) aren't immune to that green leaf. Still stupid to get caught, but nobody claimed that he was smart off the field anyway.

Agree. A guy smoking a little weed isn't that big of a deal. He's an idiot for getting caught tho.

Nick Fairley is one of the dumbest players I've ever seen in any sport. Fortunately, his job doesn't require him to think. I can imagine Detroit's DC showing Fairley a picture of the opposing team's QB and saying "hit him hard" and Fairley responding "Nick hit him real good"
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

Most people aren't laughing during their mug shot. Rather obvious he doesn't care.

That's the look of a young man thinking, "Pop me again! I can make bail in 30 seconds, sucka!"

Why do I think this kid will be bankrupt 2 years after playing his final down in the NFL?
