Right or wrong, they are much more lenient on pot use. Ole Miss is especially lenient. Looks like Masoli picked the right school for himself.

Let's be honest, isn't the SEC pretty much more lenient on everything compared to the other conferences?

LSU suspended The Honey Badger, Spencer Ware (who was the leading rusher at the time) and another defensive starter for “synthetic” weed. So I’m going to go with a no on the “SEC” being lenient…now Florida under Myers was WAAAAAAAAAAY too lenient.

Would Cliff of gotten such a stiff penalty if it wasn't for the "other" circumstances? What would y'all consider a "fair" suspension for weed? Not trying to argue, just curious.

Confiscation of their stash to be held by more elderly fans to make sure it doesn't get into the hands of corruptible youngsters.

Don't have an issue with this.

I do have an issue with SEC schools being lenient on violent criminals and DUI's (especially at Florida).

Punishment? Honestly, if it were up to me, there wouldn't be one. Just don't show up to a game or practice high and we"ll be fine. Show up stoned to a game and you're done for the day. Show to practice high and you sit half the game. In both scenerios you have to call your mom from my office and tell her why you had to sit.

Florida was horrible under Myers, it seemd like there was a player getting arrested every week over there.

As the rest of the SEC goes, this year was the first year that LSU had an active player arrested for violence in 5 years and one was suspended until the charges were dropped and the other was suspnded until the grand jury meet and reduced the charges...which ended up being more than half of the season.

I always hear that our conference is "too lenient" when it comes too things but to be honest with you I can't think of many examples from our in conference rivals. What are the examples that stick out to y'all? Again, not arguing...just wondering.

LSU does seem to be the atypical SEC school as is Les Myles.

The fact that they try to schedule a decent out of conference opponent every year sets them apart.

I remember Urban Meyer's star defensive end got a DUI right before a big game... and he still played.
