My dad had shoulder sugery on Tuesday & his surgeon was one of the Ducks physicians that travels with the team. With my dad being a big Duck fan they got chatting about the team, Kelly, etc, etc. The doctor said that Chip has hired a new coach though & he said it was a coach from Boston. I would assume he was talking about Ryan Day from BC. The doc had no reason to just make something up & would definitely be someone "in the know" so I would assume he knows what he's talking about. Who knows but I thought I would share it with you guys.

It's also possible that CK though he had Day but the timing ended up not being right.

So far I've heard NFL guy, and now Boston guy...Bill Belichick.

This is not an April Fool's Day joke, right? I have read so many today that you can never be too careful.

Assuming you are being serious and it is Ryan Day that will be joining the Oregon staff, this is great news. For a variety of reasons, he was #1 on my wish list for the Ducks to land.

Interesting. I strictly remember hearing some chatter that Day turned the job down due to the fact that he had to uproot his family and move West. Maybe it was because Kelly wanted him here for Spring Ball. Now that spring ball has happened and the coach doesn't need to get here as fast maybe Day's reconsidered.

I don't know much about Day, what is his stats?

From what I've heard from mops and others, Day sounds like a great hire!

Now we just have to wait and see!

No it's not an April Fools joke The Doc seemed to know what he was talking about & was real up to date with all the other things that were going on with the team. Like I said, take it or leave it. It's definitely "rumor alert" but I think its actually some good info.
