I like Mickens, to be sure. Most normal, even above average, FR WRs are not Marquise Lee though. I think he would have been real potent as a #3 (big part of why I gave their receiving options more credit than most).

I'm sure Addison and Mickens' role would be the same at UO, and I doubt Allen had anything to do with Mickens' recruitment (or lack thereof) since they are different type of receivers. Even though Addison didn't flip from A&M till later, the coaches probably had a sense that they could flip him a month/months in advance. If the ducks staff viewed Addison as the better prospect, offering Mickens would've jeopardized stealing Addison who was looking around but committed to an OOS school.

It'll be interesting comparing the two throughout their careers. While Addison is listed as the taller of the two, I see them as equals.

Yeah, I think they liked Addison better. However, I believe that Addison and Allen were a package deal.

Mickens is going to be a great slot WR for them. Much the same role that DAT played last year (less carries out of the backfield and not as talented obviously. He and FR Taylor are going to be good for UW for a while.

TBH, I think that UW is being a little overlooked this year. Their offense is extremely talented, though lacking some experience. Their offense alone should win them more games than most are giving them credit for.... and who knows, maybe Wilcox can improve their defense a little bit.

If Polk had stayed they would have been a scary team on offense.

I agree they have some nice skill position players...it all depends on how their offensive line performs though.

And they have a pretty brutal schedule.Sure they play SdST and PortSt, but they also play LSU, USC, Stanford and us early. They could start the season 2-4 and while the 2nd half lightens up, Utah and Cal could both be losses leaving the poodles an Apple Cup loss (or oac/zona) from missing a bowl game. I find it more likely that they miss a bowl game than go 8-4 or better actually.
