Nice write-up Mops! This site just gets better and better!

I hope he chooses Oregon. The versatility and combo with Ethan Grant would be ridiculous! It would be like having two Percy Harvins or something.

Good stuff!

*I'm finally a five star recruit. Yipee! Still have fewer comments on here than the other board though. I need to get it in gear.

Very good point Duckyfan. I thought it was interesting that he mentioned that he may choose just before the start of his Senior season or wait until the Post season game. If he waits too long someone else may fill the spot.

I would hope that he understands just how tight the Ducks are with available scholarships this season. I'm sure however that the staff has or will let him know how things are shaping up for the spot so he can jump on it if it looks to fill up quickly at a given time.

If we get an other RB commit it may pressure the other guys with offers to pull the trigger or be left behind. May be a good idea to be the second RB to commit instead of being unlucky #4.

brich75 - unfortunately I play the same position as wounded so I'll never ever see the field...

Ok..We're going to help him see the light. We'll get a group from the San Diego Alumin Chapter to attend his first home game in the fall. We got flags and I have a large plotter that can create a 10' paper banner.

When the kids look in the stands and see Oregon colors, flags, and a group cheering for them it creates a new dyanamic. Only wish we could talk to the possible recruits especially Brennan since he is interested in architecture and I am an architect.

Last year we attended Benyard's amd Anderson's games with our "Friday NIght Lights" Duck fan group. Also women's softball and a big Duck group attended women's lacross.

Awesome ducksvb! I agree with you, when a kid in San Diego see's Oregon fans already cheering him on at his high school he has to know he's going to a special place.

Hopefully Clay can realize that because of lack of schollies, he isn't gonna be able to wait around to make his decision. If he doesn't someone else will, especially with all the RBs we have offered. I just hope he commits soon so we odn't have to worry about it. I want this kid just as bad as any out there.

From speaking with Clay and how excited he was I think its good hes taking a second to collect himself. However, I like our chances in landing him. He made it very well known he liked Oregon.

Ok that's good. The lack of schollies this year just frightens me a bit. It's the first time since I've been paying attention to recruiting that we could actually end up turning away high level talent that wants to come here.

I think there's a good chance that Clay commits to the coaches within the next week or two and asks them to keep it quiet. I think he knows where he wants to go but wants the fun of announcing at the AA game. He mentioned the depth chart in an interview that I read so he's doing his homework and undoubtedly knows about Grant and the lack of scholarships available with us being in the top group for several RBs. He will lock up his spot and it will probably leak out to junkies like us after he does.

Just my .02

If we fill up our RB scholly needs for 2010 early do we pull the offers from the kids that haven't decided yet? How's that work? I read somewhere that we've offered 5 or 6 top RB's, obviously we cant talk them all, what happens to the offers?!?

GO DUCKS.

Just also make a sign that says "Oregon Architecture Rules!" or something fun like that.
