Also review the highlights for Devon Dunn a few names below Clay. John Neal was in San Diego last year scouting him. Neal was high on him at that time but with our limited scholarships in 2010 we may not offer. I've seen Dunn play twice and he is elusive, fast, and can catch as well as run.

After watching him, he reminds me of a thinner Terrence Whitehead. He's not a burner by any means. But he looked to have good vision. Great cutting ability and agility. Nice hands catching the football. Terrence stepped up in big momens for the Ducks, hopefully Brennan Clay can do the same thing if he becomes a Duck.

Clay has just enough speed and size to be a viable back. His most impressive traits are vision in the hole and obviously his ability to play in the passing game. He's sort of an all-purpose back.

He does look like a pretty skilled back, but I don't get the point of showing the 2 yard touchdown runs in highlight videos. I mean if you reverse field and break tackles, ok. But there are like 10 two yard plunges in a row.

Then again, didn't Oregon get stuffed on a few of those short and goal plunges, last season?
Seems like a reasonable trait to highlight...

It shows vision in the hole, which is readily apparent in most of his other highlights that aren't goaline. Vision is everything with the spread option because the back has to run lateral and pick his hole, then hit it hard. Without vision, he'd miss too many holes and get stuffed.
