#18 USC @ #17 UCLA

Winner clinches the Pac-12 South. I know some Ducks fans are concerned about another matchup with USC if the Ducks get to the CCG. While I would also prefer the Ducks play UCLA (and would like USC to lose for other reasons as well), with the way the Trojans reacted to falling behind vs. ASU last week it makes me think they have the right attitude for the rest of their season. And that was a bad second half by UCLA at WSU; they were actually pummeled statistically by the Cougars. I'm picking USC by something like 41-38.

I really don't know who to pick. I think USC will come out on top, but UCLA has a solid offense (as opposed to like the past decade), which could be a problem for USC.

Go Bruins!!! Don't want to see USC again. They will have a fond memory of their last trip to Autzen and will be out for revenge. While the emotion they would bring could go against them as the game wears on, I'd much prefer we throttle UCLA again. Besides my wife is a Bruin and its always fun in our house when our teams go at each other. Especially the last few times.

UCLA is vastly superior at defending the spread. Not a bad offense either. I think USC wins though as UCLA has stumbled against Pro style teams.

The tougher team against one style team can be helpless against another style.

Yes UCLA has had struggles against Pro-Style (CAL and OSU) and that's why I think USC will beat them. But against spread teams the UCLA defense stomped Oregon Lite errr Arizona, stuffed Houston and held Nebraska in check too. USC against Arizona and Oregon was clueless. I personally would prefer to take on USC again at Autzen.

That was pretty early in the season though. Given the new coaching staff, I would have to think that you really can't take a lot from that game.

I have to think that USC is really motivated to win this game, to have a shot at winning the conference, which would probably mean having to beat Oregon; to show the college football world that, no matter that they have three (or four?) losses, they're still "really" the best team in the west, despite all the sanction difficulties.

All the more reason to kick SC's arse again...Just to prove that THEY aren't all that.....SC is second rate compared to the Ducks and even though another defeat at the hands of the Ducks wont sink into their thick skulled So. Cal attitude, it would be fun to watch, from my viewpoint...
