Overdue, funny that Keenan Allen might have been the dagger in a sense, thanks to his half brother. I'm sure that was a huge clause when Allen signed with Cal.
No way Manyard should have been starting, dude would be a good fit at Portland State though.

I know Chris Petersen's name ALWAYS gets tossed out. Heard from a source close to him 2 jobs that'd tempt him: Oregon & Cal.

I could see Petersen waiting until maybe Chip determines if/when he's leaving.

The buyout is 6.8mill. Oh and doogman is scared Wilcox will get the job.

The culture and lifestyle shift from Boise to Cal would be huge. Petersen's on record about how much he and his family appreciate the pace and lifestyle of Boise. I have a hard time seeing him coming close to duplicating that in Berkeley.

Seems like Peterson has turned down better jobs in the past. I would be surprised to see him end up there. Not to mention, where does Cal think they will get the money to pay for him after they foot the bill for Tedford's buyout?

It's California. If they can be near bankrupt and still afford a $200 billion train project, they can afford Tedford. Someones grandchildren will pay the tab!
