No Respect for the Pac-12 from Obama

President Obama just released his tournament bracket:

http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-cha ... ID=4267886

Not only does he have Oregon, Colorado, and California losing to higher seeds, but he also consciously chose #6 UCLA to lose to #11 Minnesota, and #6 Arizona to #11 Belmont. None of the Pac-12 teams advance past the first round on his bracket. Does the President have a grudge against the West Coast?

Oh yeah, and he sign a bill allowing himself to detain American citizens indefinitely without a trial, so if you don't see me posting on here anymore after today, you'll know why.

Elite 8 is all top 4 seeds, except Wisconsin.

Has the pac 12 done much to deserve respect this year?

IN addition to beating each other:

UCLA beat Missouri (9-seed)
Oregon beat UNLV (5-seed)
Colorado beat Colorado State (8-seed)
Arizona beat Florida (3-seed), Miami (2-seed), San Diego St. (7-seed)

I'd say they've proven they can win against this level of competition. To pick against every single Pac-12 team in the first round seems a bit harsh.

ESPN had an "expert" who said no Pac-12 team would make it past the first round so Obama is just doing their bidding. Seriously, did anybody think he'd pick Oregon to advance after beating his brother-in-law twice this year?

And when is the segment where he shows us how he's going to fix the economy?

Gotta golf, take vacations, and fill brackets first! Priorities.

I voted for McCain and Romney, and this just proves that was a good idea by me.

Hey, let's keep politics out of this. Most people have no respect for the pac-12 in the tournament, so don't single the president out.

No respect for human rights, either. He's over in Israel today holding hands with them while, also today, thirty Palestinian schoolchildren were arrested for godknowswhat.

Here's a video if you're curious: https://t.co/QUTfYSgtPf

Thanks Tray - that cleared up a lot - except the what, where, when, and why of the vid. :?

Agree with an earlier poster, like the prez or not, this is a place for BB and not politics.

Altering the Republican "leadership" and the Tea Party caucus would certainly be a major step in the right direction and allow some progress. Unfortunately no government program can fully counteract the economic effect of roughly $8 trillion in housing wealth which was lost at the end of the last administration. Couple that with a fundamental shift in the way the economy operates (e.g., automation replacing jobs). An example is the American steel industry, one of the historic engines of our economy. Production is up roughly 50% since 2009, yet steel employment is down about 30%. That is a lot of good paying jobs that went away, and replacing them with positions at Staples doesn't help much with consumer demand. We have a long tough road ahead, and the total dysfunction in Washington doesn't bode well.

It's fairly hard to imagine a good reason for arresting thirty schoolchildren, isn't it? Like, if soldiers were arresting your child and 29 of his classmates, you'd have a tough time imagining why someone would possibly do that. The justification for that would have to be REALLY high. If you're curious about the details of the incident, you're capable of researching and deciding for yourself, if you're so interested.
