Possible commit????

Post by UOducksTK1 »

Mops said sounds like someone who visited recently may have committed.

This could be a big land if it goes down.

I assume it is a certain 2011 TE discussed below on this board?

Same here. He's pretty much the only TE on the radar right now.

Sounds like the kid is a good student, as well...

http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/9135 ... uit-early-

At 6-foot-7, 255 pounds, the description of him many use is "man-child."

McKay likes to tell the story of Rocky Seto, who was recently promoted to USC's defensive coordinator, visiting Gig Harbor. McKay happened to mention that he had a big and promising freshmen in the program at the very moment Seferian-Jenkins was walking by in the hall.

"I pointed to Rocky and said, 'There he goes right there,' and Rocky said, 'No way. That kid can't be a freshmen,' " McKay recalled with a chuckle.

After a solid sophomore season at tight end, Seferian-Jenkins, who has 3.6 grade-point average, got an offer from Stanford.

And he plays in a spread offense...

http://www.gateline.com/105/story/2277.html

The trend in college football has fallen upon the Gig Harbor football team, as the Tides are moving to a shotgun-spread formation.

Austin Seferian Jenkins, so., TE/WR, 6-6, 255. Jenkins, who has raw talent with big potential, likely will be one of the most recruited football players in the state in the next three years. After attending the University of Washington football camp this past summer, he was offered a scholarship. Coaches from USC, Arizona State and Washington State all came by this past spring to gather information while Jenkins was still a freshman.

It will be interesting to watch this kid develop in football and basketball... At 16 years old, he could potentially grow another couple of inches.

Guess we will see.

It would be extra nice to snatch one out from under the proverbial snouts/muzzles of the Fuzzie/Coug fans... Especially since it gives them another 2 whole seasons to stew in their own juices and wallow in self pity while watching Seferian-Jenkins develop.

Sometimes watching recruiting is fun!
