Re: Spring game
That would have come in handy last year with all the Ducks football games I had to delete to make room on my DVR. It would come in handy this year too ...spacefrog13x wrote:basically you can dvr a movie or tv show, then download it onto your computer.echo31 wrote:to make them do what?spacefrog13x wrote:yea but comcast DVR's are easy as hell to hack...so thats something.

Looks pretty good, although I think we can do better than Pflugrad starting.

Re: Spring game
While I like Pflugrad, I agree that we can do better. At 5'10 180 & not much break away speed there's only so much he is cabable of. You can't teach his hands & you won't find a better route runner though.duckgrad99 wrote:Looks pretty good, although I think we can do better than Pflugrad starting.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Holland plays in the slot & Pflu is out wide, right? If so I think once DJ Davis is healthy he will take over that spot.

No, Holland plays Z I believe. I'd think that Pflu would be in the slot but don't know that for sure. Him or Maehl.dthomas=ddixon wrote:While I like Pflugrad, I agree that we can do better. From the practice reports I've read Pflu has looked really good. Everything will change when we get Gaines here and Davis is back. Gonna be crowded at the WR spots come fall.

Re: Spring game
I had a feeling I was wrong, thanks for the correction. So I would guess the next WR behind Pflu is Harper? Any guesses what Gaines will play? Seems like he could be a beast in the slot but he's definitely got the speed (Rivals listed him at 4.4 speed) to play out wide too.Oracle wrote:No, Holland plays Z I believe. Nobody has been talking much about who will start at the other CB position. With Glasper and TJIII out, this could open it up for someone like Barner to shine (or someone else).VinnyKnuckles wrote:Since the coaches said they want the 1st team offense face the 1st team defense, you can see what the coaches feel the starting lineup would be if the season started today:

I know everyone likes to bag on pflu for being to small and slow but hasn't he done enough this spring to get everyone off his back?

Re: Spring game
Both wrong. Maehl is the slot guy. We run a 3-wide set, and if they name them left to right, I'd assume it goes X Holland, Mo(tion) Maehl (obviously), and Z Pflugrad.Oracle wrote:No, Holland plays Z I believe. During their Freshman year Pflugrad and Maehl both played slot, but it seems Pflu has been bumped to the X/Z spot in DJ Davis' absence. I'd assume the two deep in the fall to be something like:
X: Holland, Gaines/Jackson
Mo: Maehl, Harper
Z: Davis, Pflugrad
Either way, all the smack talk on Pflugrad should have been a tad bit toned down after today. Some killer cuts. His speed has jumped a bit.

Re: Spring game
I wasn't bagging on Pflu at all. I really like him. You can't deny that he is undersized & lacks elite speed though. Those are things he can't change & they automatically put him at a disadvantage.
That said, he more than makes up for it with his hands & route running. Pflu is a very good WR & as long as he plays like he did today, I'm fine with him starting.
