He will be visiting Oregon on May 2. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say after that.
If what others claim that Owa has told some people is true, the Ducks are very much in the mix.

I'm betting Ck and the crew are trying to play the cards close on this one. That's my guess.

"I have changed my thoughts on the Oregon program," Odighizuwa confessed. "I am liking them a lot more."
Got to pay to read the rest. But at least Oregon is back in it for now.

That's an odd statement. I wonder why he didn't like them much before?

Getting Owa to attend several of the big home games the Ducks have this year will be critical. He needs to see the wild atmosphere that will be present for many of those games, envision himself out there in an Oregon uniform facing the likes of USC, sit with Curtis and continue to build a relationship with him, go into the locker room following the games and join the team in rousing renditions of "Mighty Oregon" following the victories (hopefully) and continue to build a relationship with the Oregon coaches.
If as this season progresses there are a lot of Owa sightings at the games, you have to think the Ducks have at least as good a shot as anyone. If he isn't showing up much, that will be telling as well.

It is my understanding that prior to his Junior Day visit, he hadn't built as close of a relationship with the Oregon coaches as some of the coaches from other schools. This in part can be explained by the coaching changes. Azz has some ground to make up since he is new on the scene and a new voice in Owa's ear.

This is arguably one of the best recruits out of Oregon this year as far as ones we have not landed yet. We need to be actively pursuing him in a very big way so he does not end up playing at USC.. or Stanford. This is an in state guy time for that to work to our advantage for a change. Get it done coaches.

Well we told him he was our #1 defensive prospect on our board. That will certainly help matters. Also Azzinarro tutored some guy named Dwight Freeney while at Syracuse as D-line coach. Not sure who he is.

I wonder how much a recruit really considers things like this? Does Freeney give coach Azz the credit for his success in the NFL?
