I don't see how they can suspend him for a half. Either he did it or he didn't. NCAA (in their infinite wisdom) ruled that he didn't take the money. So why is he suspended at all? He is a choir boy isn't he?

Yeah I didn't get that aspect of it either at first. On the radio earlier today though, I heard a pretty good explanation from I believe, Billy Luici, who said the NCAA wasn't able to prove that Manziel took payment as compensation. They could though, enforce a bylaw that essentially says that he should have known that someone was going to profit off his signatures and that, in and of itself, would be a violation.

Of course one might very reasonably argue that every player is aware that every University is profiting off their likeness, making every school a violator...but, you know....

Man, the NCAA sure does rule fast in these SEC cases.
