Obviously, manziel isn't playing, but A&M seems decent with the backup. Carson is't going down easy.

Yeah, but it isn't their offense that's the problem, their defense is getting shredded right now by the Owl's running game. Missing 6 starters on defense is hurting them I guess

Manziel is going to get himself killed this year.

Carson had a couple solid runs.

A&M is certainly not that good without Manziel. Rice was right there with them throughout the first half. Same amount of first downs in the first half too.

Funny to see Johnnie Hancock getting taunted for the signature thing.

Is anyone else sick of this kid? His immaturity and selfishness are sickening. He loves him some "Johnny" and forget everybody else. Yeah, he's just a 20 year old kid, but that only goes so far. He's a spoiled rotten little kid who's family is "well to-do".

I don't envy Kevin Sumlin at all. He's in an awful position. If he benches him for disciplinary reasons at some point and they lose 1-2 games, Sumlin will be the goat, not Manziel. On the other hand, if he doesn't take a firm hand with this kid he could not only risk losing the respect of the team, but just about every football fan, coach and player in the country.

I'm not a fan of "old school justice", but in this case, it might be the best thing that ever happened to him. He needs to be seriously humbled. Having a few teammates take him out behind the woodshed and applying a few "knowledge bumps" might be just what the doctor ordered. As I said, I'm not a fan of it, but it's effective and sometimes downright necessary.

Guys used to do this to knuckleheads when I was in the Army. You'd have one guy that just couldn't get himself together, keep his mouth shut or whatever and they'd eventually get a visit in the middle of the night from a few guys that were tired of it. I've only seen it a couple times, but it was 100% effective.

His NFL career is going down the tube in front of our eyes. It's kind of sad, but not so much at the same time.

You do realize how much money Johnny has made for Sumlin right?

How did he make any money for Sumlin? Wasn't Sumlin's contract already in place? Was there a Heisman Trophy bonus for Sumlin that I'm not aware of?

Signed his fat new contract this year. And you would have to be out of your mind if you think that he would get anywhere near this amount of money if they didn't have Johnny "Heisman" and his win over Bama.

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.co ... y-bonuses/

Sumlin’s new contract extends through the 2017 season and will pay him $3.1 million in 2013 (he was receiving $2 million). That amount breaks down to $500,000 annually plus an annual supplemental payment of $2,600,000. That supplemental amount will increase to $2,725,000 in 2015 and then decreases to $2,350,000 in 2017.

You can also see Sumlin’s contract here.

Bonuses for Sumlin include: $100,000 for making the SEC championship game ($150,000 for winning); $250,000 for appearing in a BCS bowl ($300,000 for winning); $300,000 for a BCS championship appearance ($400,000 for winning); $50,000 for being named SEC coach of the year; and $75,000 for being named national coach of the year.

Sumlin also receives $3.4 million to pay his assistants, which is up $700,000 from 2012. His buyout remains at $2 million and will be reduced by $400,000 each year of the contract.

Understood. It still doesn't give the kid a free pass to be a jerk, put himself above the team or disrespect his coach. If he were at Oregon and pulled half that nonsense Chip would have benched him in a flash. Next man up.

Anyway, that's all I have to say about this. There are a lot of people that feel the same way I do.

I agree with you that Manziel is acting like a d-bag. I just have zero sympathy for his coach, since he has clearly made a lot of money from Johnny.
