there's probably already a seahawk/nfl thread, but dangit, i'm a lazy, lazy dude. so i'm making a new one.
seattle takes to the road and beats carolina 12-7 in a game that, for my own sanity, i'm going to chalk a looooooooooot of miscues up to week 1 rust. the pass rush was non-existent (clemons, irvin, and avril all out), the run game never got off the plane (carolina's front 4 controlled the LOS all game), and the penalties were mind-numbingly stupid (though this one i've had to learn to deal with, rooting for a pete carroll-coached team).
russell wilson mounts a go-ahead 4th Q td-drive which ended up being the difference. despite the low scoring game wilson's final line is actually fairly impressive, 25/33 for 320 yards and a score. not awful, especially considering he had to do it all on his own today and was under some pretty consistent pressure.
