On St. Johns Rivals it says Armstead has signed a letter of intent to play at Oregon.

Thanks for the heads up. Rivals does indeed show him as committed to Oregon. This is good news, I really liked his video.

Hmmmmm, interesting. Mops, TK, Jhop, etc have anything to say about this? Is a current player on their way out?

For Armstead to fit on the team, either someone is transferring out or someone is willing to give up their scholarship. The ones most likely to give up their scholarships are Sim and Wiley since they are in-state players and their families probably could afford paying in-state tuition. If someone was transferring, I could see Brown, Sim, or Williams being that player.

greenyellow pretty much covered it all. Teondre Williams or Kam Brown are the likely players to transfer (IF someone did indeed leave the team).

It would stink to lose either of those players, but Malcolm IMO could turn into our starting PG. Sim and Brown are not leaders and can't run this team right now. Maybe Armstead will fill that void? Hope so.

Here's a little on him in HS and with AAU team.

Malcolm averaged 18 points and five assists per game as a shooting guard for Florence High. Malcolm boasts a 3.5 grade point average as well.

So now we have 8 players in the same class & can look forward to an even bigger freshman class that comes in & stinks it up in three years....awesome.

All joking aside, I think this is a nice pick up & will hopefully solve our PG issues.

Not to be harsh, but I think Kamyron Brown might be better off transfering. I've never been impressed with him.

Wow, he looks like a great pickup. He avg. 18 and 6 not bad numbers, maybe he will be the basketball version of Masoli. A JC recruit with big time numbers who shoes up under the radar a year early.

I totally disagree. I think he's one of the more talented players on our team, he just plays reckless sometimes. He's got tons of potential IMO

Well he hasn't done anything in his two years at Oregon. Oregon billed him as "a top point guard", and he has been the complete opposite. Stats don't tell the whole story, but his aren't very good.

Well ya I agree that it's more potential than actual production with Brown so far. Plus, I don't think there's a single kid on our team with any good stats to point to, save TP and maybe LL. I see more potential with Brown than I do with Sim. I think Sim might still end up being the better player, but I think Brown could be. I've seen some greatness in him.

Brown has just as much skill & potential as anyone on the team. It would be nice if he had a coach to help him develop it. The people that diss on Brown are the same ones that knew Brooks just didn't have it.....he seems to be doing ok now.

Are you really comparing Brown to Brooks? Besides, go find Brooks sophomore stats. They are much better than Brown's. Brown hasn't shown me anything in his two years at Oregon, and I don't think I am alone in making that statement. Maybe he improves with Dunlap and more experience, but he still needs to improve in every area of the game.
