I was hoping they would get snubbed by all, and have to take some noodle-armed punk, but not the case...

I would rather they land Nick Montana than Jesse Scroggins, who they also have (had?) a very good shot at landing. If this decreases the odds of the Dawgs landing Scroggins, this might actually be a good thing from an Oregon perspective. It would be a bummer if any of Montana's talented teammates decided to follow him to Washington though.

If I were him, I'd start recruiting some offensive linemen.

That is a shame. I was hoping to be able to root for Nick Someday. Now, I can only hope he loses all of his games.

We ALL hate UW but in reality we need them strong again so our games aren't joke and the conference is stronger as a whole.

I thought for sure he was going to ND...and I hate them as much as UW, so choosing UW at least helps us!

GO DUCKS!!

Montana was my childhood idol. What a bummer. Hopefully, at some point, he rescinds.

A pocket passer we don't need. Dawgs got a big name, not necessarily a big player. Time will tell...

I don't care about him going there since he wasn't on our radar. What I do care about is how this effects their whole recruiting class and you'd be surprised how much it will. Guys like Tevin Carter and Sione Potoa'e are now going to be saying, hmmmm, maybe this class does have some momentum going and maybe I should wait it out to see what happens.

If Montana gets some of the Oaks kids to come with him, they could very well be looking at a top 25 class which isn't good for Oregon. They'll suck ass the next couple years but after that is when it will start paying off. Just hope that guys like Malcolm Jones, Erik Kohler, Zac Stout, Cassius Marsh, and Alani Fua don't end up wanting to follow him.

They did the same thing when Jack Elway committed to Arizona State. Just goes with the territory when you are the son of a legend. Hopefully Montana's success at Washington equals Elway's success at Arizona State. :)

Speaking of Washington, Jake Locker got drafted by the Angels.

I read that a MLB executive said that Locker is one of the best prospects in the draft.

Elway's kid already quit football.

I know, that is why I hope Montana's success at UW mirrors that of Elway's at ASU. :)

If Nick doesnt have a strong mental makeup then this could really hurt UW. You know the Fusky fans are going to have extremely high expectations with this commit, and his dad left some mighty large shoes to fill. I think Nick Montana would have been better served commiting to an established program. One that isnt going to ask him to be a saving grace.
