I guess one good thing has come out of Grant's decision to visit other schools:

"But recently after the Ethan Grant fiasco, I don't think I'll be taking visits." - White

What does he mean by "fiasco"? Just the media misinterpretation and resulting meltdown of us Duck fans?

Mostly likely a combo of both...

The media put it in a way that they could actually get a story out, I believe Grant will be a Duck when all is said and done and if my son were going to university I would want him to explore all options too. If someone takes White's approach too though and is dead set on where he wants to go to school then I'm equally happy.

What was the context?

I hope this doesn't create bad blood between potential teammates.

Obviously no posting of the content, but can we get a short summary about what's been said?

What is this ALL about? I am of the opinion that if you can't finish a thought or a sentence, dont start it at all....

"It's not for visits or anything. Last time we talked I was planning on taking my visits. But recently after the Ethan Grant fiasco, I don't think I'll be taking visits. I like Ethan a lot, and after seeing that, I don't want the coaches wondering."

Basically I think he doesn't want people to get a false impression that he's not solid with Oregon. So he doesn't want to take any visits.

Totally with you on that one. I don't blame Ethan for wanting to explore his options to make sure it's the right choice. It's all about what's right for the kid and if he thinks Oregon's still the best fit then great for him. If not then good luck wherever. Don't get me wrong I definitely hope it's the former (and when it's all said and done I think it will be) but I won't hold it against him if he were to decommit (unless if he bull$h!tted the reason he didn't come to our school like Bryce did. I wouldn't have so much of a problem if he had just said it was the distance because that's what it was but no he had to badmouth our offense). That said if a player is dead set on the decision like Curtis is then I can't really complain now can I?
