6'2/265/4.6-4.7 40... Plays everything from QB to RB, DE, and DT.
Where would you like to see this kid?

Probably in a Duck uniform!
Coach Frost has been to see him according to this article on Chris barnett, another Duck target...
http://www.duckterritory.com/football/f ... out-oregon
If not on offense, seems like he might make a strong addition to the D-line, especially if the Ducks transition to a 3-4...
DT interview:
http://www.duckterritory.com/football/f ... un-beachum
"I really want to play running back or quarterback, those are my favorite two positions," said Beachum."
Sounds like he has potential as a THUNDER back (Or maybe something new...
Earth Mover, anyone?)... Why not turn Coach Rad and James Harris III loose on him an d watch what happens?

which won't be happening....uh ever as long as NA is the DC. Remember, a 3-4 relies on the size of the DE, not the # of linebackers we have. A 3-4 D needs a NG plus DE's who weigh about 280 or so and about a year to change and learn the D.
and why do some want to go to a 3-4 when people complain all the time we only rush 3 lineman? i've yet to figure that out.
'We only rushed 3 on that play!!!!" "Well we run a 3-4 D". "Oh".

Thanks Hines... I am well aware of the limitations of Quick Nick... Although part of the success of "Gang Gree" was situational use of the 3-4, IIRC.
If by some chance Oregon ends up with UKO, and a couple other big lineman, who knows where things will turn... Or even if NA will still be with the Ducks as DC in 2 more years?

I would love it if we offered this guy. I love love love getting attention from great athletes in such solid recruiting ground.
Beachum (Texas), Munchie (Louisiana), Bolden (Michigan), and of course Grant (Florida)

Distance does not seem to be a factor at all in the decision making process. "No distance is not a factor at all; in fact I'm kind of looking to get out of Texas. All of my top teams are not even very close, I really want to get out and see something new."
Love to hear this from him, I also smile when I hear recruits say how they love to play with Oregon in video games.
Wonder if Oregon will take Beachum as a QB? I really like the idea of him in our backfield.

If he was buff, methinks he might actually be groomable as a replacement for LGB...

this kid could go a ton of ways but he has to lose about 30lbs or gain 30 lbs. an rb/qb ='s -30lbs or a DE/DT ='s plus 30lbs. or maybe a smallish center plus 30lbs.

Thus the suggestion of a year with Radcliffe and Harris III...

I like the sound of this guy too, a thunder back sounds about right. By the reports he isn't cut up so he could definitely loose some weight and get faster...wild cat QB anyone? Its to bad we don't have more scholarships to give...
GO DUCKS!!

Beachum is a guy Oregon just needs to offer as an athlete and figure out where he goes next year. Not only is he a very good athlete for his size, he has a good attitude and will also help in recruiting as A Maceo Smith produces very good talent from the Houston area.
Personally, I'd love to see him as a thunder back.

He just lost about 30 pounds, he was up around 280. I think losing about 10 more pounds and enhancing his speed/agility would make him a lethal RB.

Honestly, his speed is amazing for his size as it is... Imagine trying to tackle him when he has a full head of steam!

And imagine the increase in his speed if he does lose 30 pounds! At 235 pounds he would still be a load.
