Honestly, I'm not super impressed if he is going to be our top qb recruited this season, but someone is better than nobody. Now let's add Munchie.

Greg Biggins of ESPN has seen all the big time QB's for the last 10 years. He likes Bennett quite a bit, I think this one surprises us a little in a couple years. Let's hope.

Rivals has him as a pro style quarterback, so I don't see how that fits our system. Maybe the coaches see something in him, but his offer list and stats in high school have been far from impressive. Again, I hope he isn't the only qb Oregon takes in this class.

Includes ESPN video highlights... Seems to throw a decent mid to long range ball.

I watched his highlights (which I will admit were rather limited) but I'm not that impressed I honestly can make all the throws he made. Again there was limited film, but if those were his "highlights" I'm hoping we land Munchie who I thought looked much better on film.

I think Bennett may well be a project, with the hope of landing Munchie, or one of the other guys Oregon is pursuing.

Exactly. Bennett is a player with tons of upside, who has the potential to be someone who can help out down the road.
Great pick up for the ducks. I'm still hoping we pick up a higher ranked QB who is more pac-10 ready and could play soon. But can't complain with the #23 QB in the country.

Bennett has been to two SoCal camps. He won the QB MVP at one and took second to Scroggins at the other. Regardless of what his film looks like from last year, he has really shined this summer. He worked out in Eugene and I'm sure he did pretty good of he got the offer.

Reminds me of Roper, which is good and bad.
Good: I liked Roper, but he was only ever going to be a back up because of his athletic ability.
Bad: He left.
I hope he works out well!

Btw, Bolden is not visiting Oregon, instead he is visiting MSU...

Gotta admit that MSU is a lot cheaper to see than Oregon...

So your better than the #23 qb?
Welcome aboard Mr. Bennett, don't let the critics changer your mind. And actually size wise and HS film wise, he reminds me of Zac Robinson from OSU a little bit; and he seems to have worked out ok in the spread.

I like the Justin Roper comparison for multiple reasons. Like Roper, I can't see a pocket passing QB holding down the starting QB job for Oregon without a drastic change to CK's playbook when so much of Oregon's offense and running game comes from the zone read option play. Good luck and prove me wrong Bennett
