94 Shooting Guards

Post by Zyme »

Top 5 Shooting guard prospects:

Jason Kidd C C+ C+ C+ B- A

Do-it-all combo guard out of Berkley. He is strong enough to play as a short stretch 4 and yet still has the handles and skillet of a high level point guard. He is point guard eligible and yet still talented enough that no GM worth their salt should move him to point full time. He should excel no matter what guard or even forward position he is placed. He had great hand and his positional defense if top shelf. He only a sophomore but he never played like it, scouts are salivating over this one.

Eddie Jones B- B- C- C C A

This kid makes it look effortless. While he was only at a mid-major, nobody in the country could put the ball in the hoop like Jones could. Even Hardaway and Webber were put to shame by the overwhelming balanced attack from this Temple Owl. He drug his squad, kicking and screaming, into the sweet sixteen where he met a much more compete Memphis State squad. He puts all his effort into the offensive side of the ball but can flash the occasional defensive stop when he puts him mind to it. Plenty of upside to be found.

Wesley Person C+ B C C+ C- B

Person had a quietly good year for the Auburn Tigers this season. While he was a good deep threat, he never really showed that killer instinct people wanted to see from him. When the combine rolled around, scouts were wowed when he started draining deep shot after deep shot. He may not have as high of potential as players like Kidd, but with his sniper skills, he should make a great pro.

Khalid Reeves C B C+ B- D A

Very polished corner threat from Arizona. He made a ton of important basket for Arizona on their tear through the tournament and the title. Very good on the defensive ball, outside Marshall, he may be the most polished defender at this point of the guard/small forwards. His main problem is he just doesn't look comfortable inside of 13'. He seems to hesitate, leading to a lot of blocks.

Howard Eisley B- C B- C+ C C

The Boston slasher does his damage at point blank range. He is very strong at finishing and loves to play above the rim. He had a grand total of twenty TOs the entire season, despite dominating the ball on offense. Scouts do not know what to make of him and are split on his future. Some say starter some say left bench, leading to his grade.

Other Shooting Guard Prospects:

Aaron McKie C+ C+ C B- C A

Brooks Thompson C B+ C- C+ D+ A

Antonio Lang B- C C- C+ D+ A

Darrin Hancock C+ C+ C C+ C A

Dwayne Morton B- C C B- C- B

Gregory Minor C+ C+ C C C B
